The JamFactory exemplifies and cultivates creativity in the city.

The unique combination of gallery, retail space, workshop and art school has been championing Adelaide’s creative industries for over 40 years. It provides opportunities for artists and designers to create and for the public to explore. The well-regarded creative institution continues to be at the forefront of Adelaide’s arts scene by constantly evolving their successful business model and connecting people through craft and design.

The JamFactory is a leader in arts education, offering Associate Programs and short courses. The renowned Associate Programs allow emerging artists and designers to hone their skills in ceramics, glass, furniture, and jewellery and metal while also learning the business side of the industry. A range of short courses in ceramics, jewellery and glass are also offered for those just starting or wishing to add more to their creative journeys. Independent studio spaces are available to hire, including the glass studio, one of JamFactory’s star attractions which allows the public to view glass blowers at work in the building’s foyer.

Evolving exhibition spaces display world class pieces, bringing contemporary art and design to the city. The ever-changing schedule of exhibitions features emerging and established local, national and international designers and craftspeople. The retail space is a gallery in itself, with works produced in the studios available for purchase. Works can also be commissioned including bespoke pieces of furniture and public art.

The JamFactory’s strong roots are deeply embedded in the Adelaide creative community. The multi-faceted business model provides sustainability to continue the cultivation of creativity in the city for many years to come.
