The SKYCITY Adelaide Casino expansion is well underway and on track to deliver its world-class integrated entertainment and luxury accommodation destination in late 2020.

The $330 million expansion will span over 12 storeys, designed by The Buchan Group to include a luxury hotel featuring over 120 suites. The suites will range from 50 square metres to 230 square metres and boast spectacular views of the Riverbank.

Upon completion, the new Adelaide Casino is expected to draw a significant number of high rollers from across the globe on the back of expanded direct international flight paths, four new VIP luxury gaming suites, expanded gaming facilities and the offerings of premium food and wine experiences.

The addition of three signature restaurants, three new bars and an expansive function and conference space will drive significant local employment, with the recruitment of over 800 positions already in progress.

The development includes a revitalisation of the iconic Adelaide Railway Station, presenting a transformed customer experience through an immersive offering of retail and dining experiences. Plans include a $6 million investment in the new venue, The Guardsman, formerly known as the Overland Dining Hall. Originally opened in 1928, the Hall’s heritage features will be fully restored with the near-1000 square metre space housing a grand central bar, open kitchen and multiple dining areas.
